Not sure if this is genuine or final but I just found this;

Just a quick note to point you in the direction of two reviews of the Burn After Reading Blu-ray release. The first is from Blu-ray.com who laud the disc for its audio- “it is reference material all the way, with luscious, extended treble, gorgeous midrange and taut bass”, the second from a site which is new to me, Into The Blu which is also a very favourable review.

My copy arrived on Saturday morning and I am pleased to confirm that it is a region free release and so works on my UK PS3- yay! I am yet to watch the movie but have watched the three brief featurettes which are the usual Coen brothers love ins. I had a mess with the “My Scenes” option which basically lets you select sections of the movie and save them as your favourite bits by hitting a button to mark the start and end of the section. The BD-Live (online) stuff is not yet working as the disc isn’t officially out yet so the servers are not running so I don’t know what to expect from that.

My copy of the Burn After Reading Blu-ray is en route already and it’s not due out until 23rd. Anyhoo, I spied this review of the disc over at Hi-def Disc News. Of the video quality the review has this to say;

“Burn After Reading” on Blu-ray Disc gives you a 35mm film to HD transfer that yes, comes with some expected film grain but also comes with a great amount of visible detail making it well worthy of a “4 Star Rating” (or higher, at times) for overall video quality. It at times does almost carry a bit more visual “pop” to it and made me almost consider a higher rating but this just doesn’t seem to be consistent enough to justify a higher rating. Some of the close-ups on actors like Brad Pitt show very much detail — little things like the tiny skin pores in the actor’s face.”

This is the second Coen brothers film to be released on the format after No Country For Old Men and I’m really, REALLY hoping the studio get around to a release of Miller’s Crossing, Fargo, The Big Lebowski and The Man Who Wasn’t There all of which would look stunning in HD, sooner rather than later!
