Reports are coming through that new studio, Crime Scene Pictures, have decided to back the Joel and Ethan Coen penned remake of the 1966 Michael Caine and Shirley MacLaine starring heist movie, Gambit.
This has been talked about for a long, long time now so it’s good that it’s finally a go-er. Directing duties will apparently fall to Michael Hoffman, with his latest film ‘Last Station’ about the life of Leo Tolstoy receiving acclaim.

The MPAA have officially rated True Grit a PG-13 for “intense sequences of western violence including disturbing images.”

Hailee Steinfeld, the newcomer with the daunting task of playing Mattie Ross in the Coen brothers Christmas released, True Grit, gave a short interview to EW.com about the casting process…

According to Movieweb, the US release date for True Grit has been brought forward by 3 days. It’s moved from Christmas Day to 22nd December. According to the article the execs at Paramount decided to do this after being so impressed after being shown the movie by the Coen brothers.
