If a “slew” could be considered as three, then there is a slew of new pictures from No Country For Old Men on the good old internet today. Check them out in the multimedia section. Also there are a coulple of on set pics on Flickr, links below…

I got all excited when I saw an email about a new Coen brother’s trailer in my inbox! Alas, it is not for No Country For Old Men but for Paris, Je T’aime. Remember that? The Coens are directing one of 18 segments. Check it out, link below…
Oh! You might have to change your computer’s timezone to a US one in order for it to play. Just double click your clock in at the bottom-right of your screen, you can do it from there.
Thanks to Joseph for the link.
So Coen brothers movies are like buses. You wait for ages and then, bam, three come at once!
Hot on the heels of the news regarding Burn After Reading comes news of the Coen’s 14th movie- A Serious Man. Nothing is know about it as yet other than it is “a dark comedy in the vein of Fargo” which cannot be a bad thing.
Thanks once again to Empire for the news and, I agree, The Ladykillers and Intolerable Cruely ARE underrated!
Things are certainly hotting up on Planet Coen, news now of the next movie, their 13th, Burn After Reading. This one has been mentioned once of twice before (check out the Future Projects section) but it looks like a definite goer now that BOTH George Clooney and Brad Pitt are set to star.
I love the interaction between Pitt and Clooney and it’ll be nice to see Pitt finally break his Coen cherry after the aborted To The White Sea. Bring it on!
Many sources for this one but I like Empire
A lot of people were kind enough to take the time to email me on this one, thanks to you all; Christopher, Joseph, and Bunnie.
A Variety article states that No Country For Old Men will be out in the fall. That’s Autum to us non-Americans. I think it’s in reference to the US release date only though.
Thanks to Amon for pointing this little snippet out.
Lots of people got in touch to point me in the direction of a featurette over at Apple’s site. The Coens have been using Apple’s editing software, Final Cut Pro, for some time now and have filmed a short interview for Apple. It mainly concentrates on the use of colour in O Brother, Where Art Thou? but does contain shots from No Country For Old Men of Moss being persued by a truck (I’m doubtful that the shots of a city and taxi are from the movie but you never know). Very exciting indeed- the first footage from the next Coen movie!!! Go check it out – Apple Final Cut Coen interview
Thanks; Red, John, Doug, Curt, Ramesh, Armon and Ricky (hope I haven’t missed anyone).
Next up is the fact that No Country For Old Men is showing in competition at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. This is truly exciting news as the Coens have a bit of a love affiar with Cannes over the years. It’ll be the first time the movie is seen anywhere. From the information I found at the Cannes site I can also tell you that the movie is 2 hours and 2 minutes in length.
Lots and lots of news today! WHOO HOO! First thing’s first, thanks to John who was kind enough to email me the script for the forthcoming No Country For Old Men. Dare you read it BEFORE you’ve seen the movie? I did and it’s great! It’s a PDF file so you will need Adobe Acrobat reader to view it. Easy to find (and free) with a quick Google.
